This is a good set of books to help with your mental health. They should not be used alone. Using them in addition to other forms of mental health stability and/or seeing someone for mental health. They are definitely a plus to help explain and work through your mental health.

The first book was all about how to have a healthy relationship and communication skills .The second deals with abandonment and dealing with rejection . The third one is what I'm interested in. It deals with addiction , and your frame of mind . Also your support system and setting goals . I like the other chapters also. It's a really impressive book, a good read.

In these trying times, your mental health is extremely important. Of course, your mental health is important anytime regardless of what is going on in the world, but as we are social creatures and many of us are seperate from friends, family, and loved ones at the moment our mental health suffers.
This book seems pretty helpful so far in recommending tools, practices, tips and exercises on how to check in with yourself and to make sure you're doing okay and how to keep it that way.

Not everyone has access to mental health care, so some people have to turn to self-help books to heal themselves. This is a six-book collection, and each book examines a different type of therapy (EMDR, Somatic, and CBT). I think that is a brilliant format.  Overall, I think people who read this will benefit.

These books are great and full of information for those that are concerned about going to therapy. A thorough explanation for cognitive and CBT styles so you are able to have clear expectations for treatment and learning coping mechanisms.

This is a very comprehensive book, full of excellent practical ideas of how to deal with various mental health problems, exercises helping you understand the problem better and eventually find a solution fitting your personal needs. It also has some theoretical explanations of why we sometimes behave the way we do.

Recently, I had to stop going to therapy because I couldn't afford it and was looking for a self instruction workbook as an alternative. I stumbled across this and really enjoyed using this book to learn more about my mental health and what I can do to mentally overcome some of the obstacles in my life. The activities helped to identify the mindset I was in and how to get where I wanted to be. Daily steps and keeping track of your recovery seem to be the overall message in this book.

I found the information on abandonment to be very informative with good advice on healing. I think this book has been edited since some of the previous reviews because my chapter did not match their screenshots. I checked this out via Kindle Unlimited. I also found the addiction workbook to provide a lot of good suggestions on how to recover and curb bad habits. I highly recommend reading the chapter focused on Cognitive Distortions from the book Complex PTSD Trauma and Recovery. I have noticed that when I take into consideration that my thinking is falling into one of these mind traps, I feel less negative feelings, and I find my stress and anxiety to be more manageable.

I am particularly impressed by the profound discussion on attachment theory, a favorite of traditional therapy. In also includes an interesting discussion on self-loathing.
However, the empathy discussion is the most valuable to me, beginning with the examination of empathy as a positive trait, one that can be acquired, not a birth trait.
Thus is the type of book I will keep as a reference and return to it sporadically. Since I found it on Kindle Unlimited, I am weighing buying the book(s) against its availability through KU. Kudos to the authors!
